Unit of Measure (UoM)
A UoM is a unit using which an Item is measured.
In retail, a Unit of Measure (UOM) refers to the standard quantity used to measure and manage inventory, sales, and purchases. It helps in tracking and managing products consistently across various processes. Common UOMs in retail include:
Each (EA): Individual items.
Case (CS): A box or package containing multiple items.
Dozen (DZ): A group of twelve items.
Pound (LB): Weight measurement.

Using standardized UOMs ensures accurate inventory management, pricing, and reporting.
