Integration Core

Integration Core · checked 2026-10-15

Integration Core is the shared half of every iVendNext integration. It gives you one place to see what crossed between iVendNext and another system, what is waiting, and what needs a person. Each screen has its own page: The Integrations Hub, Connections, Integration Activity, Incoming Records, Differences, Record Links and Sync Positions. The reports are on Connection reports and Waiting records. When something looks wrong, start at Troubleshooting.

What it does

Integration Core records every change that crosses between iVendNext and a connected system. An online order coming in is one example. An invoice going out to your accounting system is another. Each try gets its own row, with its state, its amount where it carries money, and what went wrong.

Integration Core also keeps three more things: which record here matches which record there, how far each sync has got, and where the two systems do not match. One screen, the Integrations Hub, shows all of it, whatever systems you connect.

Integration Core syncs nothing by itself. What crosses, and how, is the job of the connector for that system (WooCommerce, Acumatica and others). Each connector has its own setup page and its own help. A new connection adds only its own setup page. You do not get a second queue, a second monitor or a second Retry button.

Who uses it:

Role What they can do
Integration Manager Reads everything. Can retry, decide, acknowledge, resolve differences, switch connections on and off, and link a record by hand. Gets the alerts and can ask for the daily summary.
Integration Viewer Reads the screens and reports, but not what was sent and received. Has no buttons that change a record.
System Manager Has the same buttons as an Integration Manager. Can also renew sign-in details on a connector's setup page and erase personal data. Gets the alerts only when no Integration Manager may see the connection.

What you set up first

  1. A person with the Integration Manager role.
  2. A connection to each system, from its connector's setup page.
  3. A test of each connection, on its setup page.
  4. Switch on, on each connection.
  5. A look at Connection Health after its first run.

The steps in full: Set it up.

Where it shows

  • Desk. You find the Integrations Hub in the sidebar. It shows six count tiles, and cards of links to every screen and report.
  • The bell at the top of Desk, when something is genuinely stuck.
  • Email, only if you switch it on. You can get an alert email and a daily summary (Set it up).

It adds nothing to the till, POS Studio or your print layouts.

What leaves your shop

Nothing leaves your shop from Integration Core. It never makes a call to any outside system, and it keeps no sign-in details. Each connector sends what its own page says it sends. Connectors never call each other. Each one reads and writes the iVendNext document, and that document is the meeting point.

If you switch on the alert email and the daily summary, your site sends them through its own outgoing email account, to your own people.

How to remove it

To stop an integration, switch its connection off (see Connections). Changes that arrive while it is off are kept, and when you switch it back on, it picks them up. This is the supported way to stop one.

Removing Integration Core itself deletes the whole history and every record link. Afterwards, a connection's first sync can post the same sale twice. You cannot uninstall Integration Core while it still has record links. Ask whoever runs your site, and call support first.
