An install record is the installer's own list of everything it made for one app, in order. This page says what the record shows and when you read it. You do not edit it, because only the installer writes it.
What an install record shows
Each record belongs to one app. Users with the System Manager or Retail Manager role can read it. Search Desk for Retail Extension Install. If Desk does not list it, ask your partner or iVendNext support to read it for you.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| App, Prefix, Version | The app, the word its record names start with, and its version. |
| Status | installing, installed, failed or uninstalled. |
| Export saved as | The name of the file the app's records were saved to before an update or a removal. |
| Created (JSON, in order) | Everything the install made, in the order it made it. |
| Manifest (JSON) | The app's file, as the installer used it. |
| Log | What the installer did, step by step. |
When you read it
Read an install record when an install failed and you need to see how far it got, or when your partner or iVendNext support asks what an app made on your site. For the app's version, its status and who accepted it, open the app's record under Installing and updating instead.
The report Connected apps also reads these records. For an app installed before the package screen existed, the install record is the only record of it.
