Till field rules change the words and fields on your till, with no code. This page covers what the app changes, what to set up first, and how to remove it.
What it does
On the till theme IVENDNEXT FLD Till it adds four rules:
- the sale's line shows Product instead of the item name;
- the customer's card says Stars instead of points;
- the new-customer form has no email field;
- a new customer must have a phone number.
What you set up first
- In POS Studio, open the Standard till theme, change its name to IVENDNEXT FLD Till and choose Save as a new theme. The Standard theme itself cannot be changed.
- Install the app from the App library (see About Retail Extensions). Its four rules appear in the Field rules table of the IVENDNEXT FLD Till theme.
- Give the IVENDNEXT FLD Till theme to the till profiles that should follow these rules: on each POS Profile, set Theme (Till, Tablet and Phone).
Where it shows
On the till, for each till profile that uses the theme. The phone rule is enforced by iVendNext as soon as the theme is on a profile: a new customer without a phone is refused. The other three rules reach each till on the theme the next time it starts.
The app adds no record type, so it has no Desk screen of its own. To see or remove one rule, open the theme in POS Studio and use its Field rules table.
What leaves your shop
Nothing. The app names no outside address, till key, webhook, service or print layout.
How to remove it
- In the App library, find the app under Installed and press Details.
- On the app's record, press Export and uninstall and confirm.
- Exactly these four rules are removed from the theme. The theme itself stays as it was.
