Integration Core · checked 2026-10-15
A difference records that iVendNext and the other system disagree about one record. It changes nothing in either system: you put it right on the correct side, then close the difference. Differences are recorded by a connection when it compares the two systems, and by Integration Core when a linked record is deleted, renamed, cancelled or re-linked.
The Differences list
Open it from the Hub's Differences tile (open ones only) or its Day to Day card. The Reference column shows the iVendNext record, or the other system's number followed by (ID in Connected System) when there is no iVendNext record. Each row's chip reads Open, Resolved or Accepted. A System Manager also finds Erase personal data here, in Actions (Personal data).
The difference
The first part of the form says what disagrees. The banner at the top says it in a sentence — for a value, This connection reported different values for …: iVendNext has …, and … has …. It is red for a difference that needs work, orange for one that is for your information, and green once it is closed. Every field is set by the system.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Difference | the kind of difference (The kinds of difference) |
| Connection · Record Type | where it was found |
| ID in Connected System | the other system's own ID for the record |
| Reference Record Type · Reference | the iVendNext record it is about, where there is one; it may no longer exist |
| Status | Open, Resolved or Accepted As Is (The statuses of a difference) |
| Which Value | the value the two systems disagree about, where it is one value |
What Happened
What Happened: a note on the difference, from the connection or from Integration Core.
When it was seen
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| First Seen · Last Seen | when it was first and last reported |
| Times Seen | see below |
| Record It Came From | the record on Integration Activity it was raised against |
Times Seen
How many checks have reported it while it stayed open. A difference reported again is counted here, never made twice.
How it was closed
Shown once the difference is closed: Resolved By, Resolved At and Reason — the person, the time and what they wrote. Closed differences are cleared 30 days after Resolved At.
Personal data
Shown only when a System Manager has erased the personal data held here: Personal Data Erased By and Personal Data Erased On. See Personal data.
Technical details
Folded away: Value in This System and Value in Connected System, what each side held when the difference was last seen. On some kinds they are labelled for what they hold: New Name and Previous Name on a rename; Now Linked To and Previously Linked To on a moved link; Linked by Hand To and Sync Would Link To on a hand-made link the sync left alone.
The kinds of difference
Field Mismatch
The two systems hold different values for one field of the same record. Put the value right on the correct side, then Mark resolved.
Missing Ours
The iVendNext record was deleted while another system is still linked to it. If the iVendNext record is really gone, Mark resolved also makes its link inactive; if the record exists again, the link is left as it is.
Missing Theirs
The connection reported the other system's record missing. Check the other system, then Mark resolved.
Multiple Matches
More than one record matches. Decide which is right, put it right, then Mark resolved.
Renamed
The record was renamed in iVendNext. Integration Core sends nothing: the other system may still hold the old name. The two values are the new and the previous name. You may Accept it if the other system does not need the new name.
Link Moved
A sync moved a link to a different iVendNext record. The two values are where it points now and where it pointed before. You may Accept it if the move is right.
Manual Mapping Skipped
A link a person made by hand, which the sync left alone because it would have linked a different record. The two values are the hand-made link and the one the sync would have made. You may Accept it if the hand-made link is right.
Cancelled in iVendNext
A document the connection had already sent was cancelled here. The bell rings once. Integration Core sends nothing to the other system.
- Check the document on the other system first — your connector's own help says whether it reverses a cancel there.
- If it is still live, reverse it there by hand.
- Press Mark resolved and say what you did.
Call support if money moved and you cannot reverse it there.
The statuses of a difference
- Open — not dealt with yet; every check reports it again.
- Resolved — a person dealt with it and pressed Mark resolved.
- Accepted (stored as Accepted As Is) — a person pressed Accept — don't report again unless it changes. It stays quiet for 30 days while both values stay the same.
Closing a difference
- Open it. The banner says what differs, in plain words.
- Put it right on the correct side.
- Press Mark resolved, write what you did about it, and press Mark resolved in the dialog.
For a Renamed, Link Moved or Manual Mapping Skipped difference with both values recorded, on a record type that carries no money, you may instead press Accept — don't report again unless it changes, give the reason, and press Accept. It is never offered on money.
Only someone who may edit the difference — an Integration Manager or a System Manager — sees both buttons; anyone else, ask one. Your name and the time are recorded on the difference.
