Dashboards & charts
The assistant can build charts and assemble them into dashboards inside iVendNext.
Ask the assistant to "create a bar chart of monthly sales" and it builds a real chart in your iVendNext site, which then appears on your dashboards. The order of work is to create charts first, then a dashboard that links them.
Creating a chart
A chart needs a name, a type, a source record type, and how to summarise the data.
| Choice | Options |
|---|---|
| Chart type | Line, bar, pie, donut, percentage, heatmap |
| Summary method | Count, Sum, Average, or Group By |
| Time span and interval | For time-based charts: last week through last year, by day up to year |
| Chart type | What it needs |
|---|---|
| Line | A date field to track over time. |
| Bar, pie, donut | A field to group by, such as customer or status. |
| Sum or Average summary | A numeric field to add up or average, such as total amount. |
Creating a dashboard
A dashboard links charts you have already created. You can name it, choose a layout type (sales, financial, inventory, HR, executive, or custom), share it with chosen users or roles, and set it to refresh automatically.
Listing dashboards
The assistant can list the dashboards a user can see, including those shared with them, so it checks for an existing dashboard before building a new one.
