Direct messages and @AI

Copilot is also a place to message colleagues, and to bring the assistant into those conversations when a question comes up.

Messaging colleagues

• Open the Messages tab in the sidebar to see your conversations.

• Send a direct message to any colleague. Messages arrive in real time.

• Reply to a specific message to keep threads tidy, and see read receipts.

• Forward a useful Copilot answer from a chat into a direct message, with a note, so a colleague gets the context.

Bringing Copilot in with @AI

Inside a direct message, mention the assistant to ask it a question in front of your colleague. Copilot answers in the thread, so the whole conversation stays in one place.
