Manufacturing without creating BOM

It is recommended to use BOM for Manufacturing for consistency and to avoid repetitive work.

However, if you wish to perform it manually, the workaround is to create Stock Entries.

Create a Stock Entry with the Stock Entry Type Material Transfer. Move the raw materials from their Source Warehouse to your work-in-progress warehouse.

Create a Stock Entry with the Stock Entry Type Kitting. Kitting is the seeded type with the purpose Manufacture. If you want a type with another name, create a Stock Entry Type and set its purpose to Manufacture. The Item being manufactured has a Target Warehouse. The other Items (raw materials) have a Source Warehouse.

Blue Dot: Item is being received. Orange Dot: Item is being issued.
