What is the iVendNext Node?

Overview

The iVendNext Node is the official connector that plugs your iVendNext retail platform into n8n — a visual workflow automation tool used by hundreds of thousands of teams worldwide.

n8n lets you build automations by dragging boxes (called nodes) onto a canvas and joining them with arrows. Each node does one job — read data, send an email, call another system. The iVendNext Node is the box that represents your iVendNext tenant. Once it is on the canvas, any data inside iVendNext — customers, items, prices, stock, orders, invoices, and more — can flow out to other applications, and data from other applications can flow back into iVendNext, automatically and on your terms.

The connector installs as two complementary nodes:

Node Type What it is for
iVendNext Action Reads from and writes to iVendNext on demand — create a customer, fetch an order, update a price, list stock levels.
iVendNext Trigger Trigger Starts a workflow automatically the moment something happens in iVendNext — a new sale, a stock change, a submitted order.

Why it matters

Retailers run dozens of systems — webstores, marketplaces, shipping carriers, loyalty apps, accounting tools, spreadsheets, AI assistants. The iVendNext Node turns iVendNext into the connected hub of that ecosystem without writing a single line of integration code.

What you can build with it

  • Two-way e-commerce sync — keep items, prices and stock identical across iVendNext and your online store; pull web orders straight into iVendNext.

  • Shipping automation — push fulfilled orders to a carrier and write tracking numbers back to iVendNext.

  • Customer experience — send order confirmations, loyalty rewards, or review requests after a sale.

  • AI assistants — let an AI agent answer "what sold best yesterday?" or "is this item in stock at the Acme store?" by reading live iVendNext data.

  • Operational alerts — notify a manager on Slack or email when stock runs low or a high-value order is placed.
