Limits to expect

iVendNext Acumatica connector · version 2.0.0.108 · checked 2026-11-03

This page lists the limits of the connector that a shop can meet. Each row says when you meet the limit and what to do about it. Nothing here is a promise about a later release. The connector is in beta. Integration Core has its own limits, which its pages describe. For what does not cross at all, see What syncs today.

How long things take

What Usual time
A sale, return, tender, or a customer made in Acumatica Within about 2 minutes
An item or vendor change On the same one-minute run. A first load takes longer.
Prices Overnight, or sooner if you choose
Costs, units, conversions, item groups and opening counts Overnight

No load test exists. We cannot tell you how many sales a minute one connection carries, so do not commit to a number of tills.

Money and tax

Limit When you meet it What to do
The till's own tax summary by rate can be wrong on a mixed or bill-discounted sale. Acumatica has the tax the till charged, split by each line's template. Stores with prices that include tax, and zero-rated or discounted items Read tax from Acumatica, not from the till's closing.
Acumatica's price is net, and an inclusive till charges it as gross. Any store whose prices include tax and come from Acumatica The store collects less than Acumatica's price plus tax. Raise this with the customer before go-live.
A few cents can differ, and a cent can stay open on the customer. A desk, web or delivered invoice with tax included, or a store that rounds its cash totals The connector never writes a difference off. Set the same rounding method on both sides, and ask whether Acumatica writes small balances off.
A desk, web or delivered invoice's tax is Acumatica's, and nothing checks that the two tax setups match. The two setups differ for a channel that is not a till Ask, for each company, whether the channel's tax matches Acumatica's zone for the same sale.
A charge's tax on a desk or web document follows the Charge item's tax category. The channel taxes the charge differently Set the item's category to match, or the invoice keeps a tax balance after the payment.
Canceling a till day's POS Closing Entry cancels that day's invoices in iVendNext only. A closing canceled and run again Correct the day in Acumatica by hand if its figures change. A new closing with different content goes to a person, and one with the same content sends nothing.
A customer over their Acumatica limit can pass the till's check. On-account sales Keep each customer's iVendNext limit in line with Acumatica's.
A foreign note beside a second tender, with change, goes to a person. Stores that take foreign notes Record what the record names. Two foreign currencies on one ticket also go to a person.
A roll-up day with no sale in the drawer's own mode posts per ticket. A foreign note with change on a roll-up day Nothing to do. The differences list names the day.
Several base currencies are not proven. A customer with several base currencies Try one of each on the customer's tenant before go-live.
A customer's price kept only per another unit does not arrive. A service priced by the hour and sold by the day The till has no price for it, and a difference asks for a price per the sales unit. Add that price in Acumatica.

Prices

Limit When you meet it What to do
A price Acumatica changes during trading can be up to a day late. Prices kept nightly Choose faster prices.
A promotion stays charged up to a day past its end in Acumatica. Any promotion The regular price comes back at the next nightly pass.
One price row that cannot be mapped keeps every withdrawn price live that night. A price row in an unmapped unit, item or currency Map what the price pass names. The night's record counts them.
A withdrawn price stays on a mobile till until that till refreshes. Mobile tills A changed price arrives within about 5 minutes. A removed price needs that refresh.
A price pass between nights competes with the store's check for license seats. Faster prices on a small license Keep prices nightly until you have counted the seats.
Whether an offline till charges a customer's own price list has not been measured. Offline tills with customer price lists At worst, the customer gets the store's own price.

Orders

Limit When you meet it What to do
The till authorizes a card before its check that head office was already paid refuses the delivery. Cash is refused first. Advanced orders delivered by card Check the terminal for an authorization with no sale.
The till cannot take the balance of an order head office delivered. Advanced orders head office ships Take it at the desk with Create, Payment on the invoice.
When head office was paid first, the delivery takes several steps at the desk. Advanced orders head office was paid for Follow the records: make the invoice from the Delivery Note. Release Acumatica's invoice only if its record asks. Then settle any decision that is left.
Another order's deposit put on a delivery invoice ends at a decision, and the money differs across the two screens. Allocate Advances Automatically pulls another order's deposit Keep advances to the order's own deposit. Call support if it happens.
A part refund on an Advanced order that stays open goes to a person. A deposit partly refunded Acumatica keeps the whole deposit on the order. Follow the record.
A delivery line whose lot is in another bin of the warehouse stops. Lot items spread across bins Set the lot on the shipment (SO302000), choosing the bin, then press Retry.
A new desk order may open on another price list. The site's default list prices an item the connector's list also prices Pick Acumatica <connection name> on the order.
A customer made at the till needs a group before it crosses. Customers quick-created at the till A cashier sets the group under Edit customer, More details.

Stock and lots

Limit When you meet it What to do
A count or receipt cannot go where Acumatica tracks the item and iVendNext does not. An item tracked on one side only Record it in Acumatica by hand, then press Acknowledge. Do not press Retry, or it is created twice.
An item Acumatica tracks stays untracked in iVendNext once a document names it. An item already used before tracking arrived The differences list names it. Its other data keeps syncing.
Acumatica keeps two decimals, and rounds a finer quantity. A count or transfer with more decimals The record goes to a person. Use whole or two-decimal quantities where you can.
A store cannot receive a lot it has never had without Item Manager. A first receipt of a lot Give the person Item Manager.
A journal whose release Acumatica refuses says only that the release never completed. Often a tender's GL branch that differs from the connection's Release it on Journal Transactions (GL301000). Acumatica names the cause. Fix it there, and the record settles by itself.

Sign-in and license

Limit When you meet it What to do
Each session of an OAuth connection takes its own license seat. An OAuth connection on a small license Count 1 for the minute run, 1 for each job that can overlap it, and 1 for each person signed in.
The API cannot read the license's figures. Always A person reads License Monitoring Console (SM604000).

Setup and roles

Limit When you meet it What to do
No new company can be created while any POS day is open. Adding a company later Create the company before the stores open.
An accounts user cannot record a customer payment: "You do not have Read or Select Permissions for Mode of Payment". Payment Entry by an Accounts User Give the person Retail Manager as well.
A Stock User may see "No permission for Stock Settings" on opening a Stock Entry form. A site with the iVendNext POS app Dismiss it and save. If a save is refused, grant the roles the message names.
A cash sale that gives change cannot be settled where the payment method does not allow over-tender. The till does not say why. A greyed Settle button On the Cash mode, tick Allow Over Tender, and set its rate type and rate.
Ticking Recharge on the gift card item changes every card already sold. Editing the item after cards are sold Do not change that box once cards are sold.
