What iVendNext offers a thrift and resale chain

This page lists what a thrift and resale chain can use in iVendNext today. The format is Thrift and resale: a chain of thrift, charity and resale stores that take in donated goods, sell consigned pieces and sell one-of-a-kind goods. Every store runs the same till, the iVendNext POS at /pos, on a phone, a tablet or a register. The donation door, the stock room and head office work in iVendNext Desk, and the stock officer can also work on iVendNext Handheld.

Every part below is in the till, in a setting or in the App library today. Each part says who uses it, what it rests on and where you can have it. To set the parts up, follow Setting up a thrift store. For the apps a store turns on, see Thrift and resale on iVendNext.

What you get in a thrift and resale chain

What the chain needs Who uses it What it rests on Where you can have it
Donations at the door, and the donor receipt Donation-door attendant, store manager Donation intake with a donor receipt: a donation written in iVendNext Desk with the donor (one of your customers, a name typed at the door, or no one named), the address, the store, the day, and each kind of goods with how many and in what condition. With the lock rule on, giving the receipt locks the donation, and the donor receipt prints under your Letter Head: it lists the goods and states no value. A store manager cancels a receipt that was given. Your charity's name, registration number and the sentence about anything given in return sit on your Letter Head. App library, free, in every country. It runs in your own site and sends nothing out.
Donated goods into stock Stock officer The stock entry that takes the sorted goods in, a Material Receipt, has a Donation field that names the donation they came from. The Donations list shows every donation that is not canceled. For goods that come in by barcode, iVendNext Handheld can receive stock. iVendNext Desk, with Donation intake. iVendNext Handheld: talk to your partner.
Pricing: the price in the barcode, and a one-off piece Cashier, store manager One category item sells at many prices, because the label's barcode carries the price: the extracted price becomes the line's price. A one-off piece takes a typed price at the till, within the limits your managers set, and a manager is asked outside them. See Barcode Masking and Markdowns and Open Price. Price change approvals has a price change approved by someone other than the person who asked. The till and iVendNext Desk, in every country. Price change approvals: App library, free.
This week's tag color at a markdown Store manager, cashier A set-up in iVendNext Desk, no app: one item for each category and tag color, with the price in the barcode, and one promotion for each color. The promotion lists that color's items, takes a percent off, and runs on the dates of the week, for your thrift stores. Each week, the next color's promotion is dated, and a retired color's goods are put away. See Setting up a thrift store and Promotions, Coupons and Discounts. The till and iVendNext Desk, in every country.
Consignment and the consignor's payout Store manager, accounts team Consignment payouts: a consignor with a share, the consignor named on each piece you take in, and a payout worked out in iVendNext Desk from your own till sales and Desk invoices, with returns taken off. The app checks each line again before the payout is marked paid, so a sale is paid once, and it prints a statement for the consignor. Booking the payment in your accounts is your accounts team's work. App library, free, in every country, on CitiXsys hosting in the United States.
Promotions and coupons Cashier, store manager The till's promotions: percent off and amount off between two dates, and a markdown on a line, which asks a manager as your approval ladder says. Your own coupons can add rules with Coupon rules. See Promotions, Coupons and Discounts. The till, in every country. Coupon rules: App library, free, in every country.
Loyalty and gift cards Cashier, store manager Gift cards sold and redeemed at the till. Gift card on spend gives a customer your own gift card when a sale reaches your threshold. Loyalty points earned and spent at the till, with the member's balance in view during the sale, come from iVendNext Loyalty. Gift cards: the till, in every country. Gift card on spend: App library, free, in every country, on CitiXsys hosting. iVendNext Loyalty: talk to your partner.
Returns and store credit Cashier, store manager The till takes a return with the receipt, and a return without one with a manager. An item can be marked non-returnable, which gives the final sale. A refund can be paid out as store credit, and the customer redeems it at any later sale. Refund rules names the methods a refund may be paid back by. See Returning With a Receipt and Returning Without a Receipt. The till, in every country. Refund rules: App library, free, in every country.
Transfers between stores Stock officer, store manager A stock entry in iVendNext Desk moves goods from one store to another, and iVendNext Handheld can move stock by barcode. iVendNext Desk, in every country. iVendNext Handheld: talk to your partner.
The day's close Cashier, store manager The till's end of day: the drawer is counted and the day is closed. See Ending Your Day. The till, in every country.
Sales tax in each store Cashier, head office A sales tax rate for each store, set on the store's warehouse and applied by the till line by line. See Important Retail Settings. The till, in every country; set up in iVendNext Desk.
The chain's own ERP Head office Connectors to SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Acumatica, NetSuite and Sage X3. Every country. Any other ERP is connected by a partner or your own developers.

The rest of this page says what a partner adds.

What a partner or your team adds

An iVendNext partner in your region, or your own developers, sets up and extends what these parts do not cover. Examples are buying goods from sellers, your own consignment terms, sorting stations, your store's own labels and slips, extra reports, and links to systems not listed above. They can copy the apps and change them. See How to customize.

For the order a store is set up in, see Setting up a thrift store.
